Parking Meters

You can find these at any place where parking is allowed – both in residential areas and commercial areas. You have to pay according to the time you wish to park your vehicle there; however, most meters allow you to park for up to 30 minutes without paying anything extra beyond what you would normally pay if you were driving around looking for parking spots instead of using one of these meters. If you wish to stay longer than 30 minutes, then it will cost more per hour.

A-Zones

These are commercial areas where there is a lot of traffic during the day. Vehicles can only park here during office hours, from 7 am until 6 pm on weekdays. The A-zones also include public holidays, with the exception of major shopping malls and entertainment centers such as Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa.

B-Zones

These are residential areas where there is not much traffic during the day or night. Vehicles can park here at all times, but vehicles must be off the streets by midnight on weekdays, 1 am on Saturdays, and 2 am on Sundays and public holidays.

C & D-Zones

These are residential areas where there is not much traffic at all times; however, they cannot be used for long stays as they cannot be occupied for more than 72 hours at a time per month.

E-Zones

The E Parking Zone is used by office workers and people who work in the city center. This zone is located close to the main roads of Dubai as well as Abu Dhabi.

F-Zones

The F Parking Zone is used by people who work in government offices or other workplaces which are located on Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road.

G-Zones

The G Parking Zone is used by people who work in industrial areas where there are no other parking lots available nearby. If you rent a car SUV and work in the industrial area, then this might be the perfect zone for you.
